In order to profit on the one hand from the excellent ideas of the Salzburger communication science students and grant on the other hand the students a view in line with standard usage of the bid of Salzburg for the right to host the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2014, the Institute for communication science and the Bid committee Salzburg 2014 invented a unique project: With great success.
The students worked in close co-operation with project manager Dr. Wolfgang Immerschitt and the bid committee Salzburg 2014 on specific setting of tasks: Among other things a concept for international communication in the bid phase from October 2006 to July 2007 have been developed. Bid Operations director Rudolf Höller was impressed: The students helped with large employment and commitment to develop good ideas. Now it is our turn to develop these ideas to present the International Olympic Committee a concept at high level within all ranges. We look forward to be able to co-operate also further with the students. Some students will continue to work on the projects in the form of practical courses.
