Salzburg 2014, the team leading the campaign to bring the 2014 Winter Olymic Games and Paralympic Games to Austria, today welcomed the findings of the latest Around the Rings Power Index which puts Salzburg at the head of the seven cities bidding to host the 2014 Games.
The 4th Power Index published today (20 June) puts Salzburg on 86 points out of a possible score of 110 up from 80 points since the last survey. Commenting on the poll, Salzburg 2014 Director Games Plan Gernot Leitner said: While there is only one opinion that matters that of the IOC the Around the Rings survey is a welcome boost for our team as we approach the Candidate City shortlist decsion. Its pleasing that our bid proposals are being well received and understood but we take nothing for granted. We will strive to improve our plans all the way to the finishing line next year if we are fortunate to be chosen as a Candidate City later this week.
