 Club Salzburg 2014 In addition, the Chamber of Economics has seconded two experts to work with Salzburg 2014 to assist with the bid and to support national and international activities relating to 2014. Dr. Christoph Leitl, President of the Chamber of Economics said: “Austrian sport, politics and economics is acting as one to help bring the 2014 Winter Games to our nation and the Chamber of Economics is proud to be so actively engaged in Salzburg‘s campaign.” Similarly, the Austrian National Tourist Office is gearing up to do its utmost to help bring the magic of the Winter Games to Austria. The National Tourist Office is putting its world-wide network, consisting of 34 agencies, as well as their comprehensive market knowledge in these countries, at the disposal of the bid. Dr. Arthur Oberascher, CEO of the Austrian National Tourist Office said: “If Salzburg is successful in becoming Host City for the 2014 Games it would represent the single biggest tourism opportunity for our nation in recent times. Salzburg is a wonderful vacation experience and we hope to be able to demonstrate this all the way to 2014 and beyond.” ENDS.
