At the beginning of October, Salzburg 2014 launched its new website to coincide with the start of the international campaign for its bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2014. The most significant change is that the language of the website is now English, with German and French available as alternatives. There have also been changes to the design and imagery. Salzburg’s international slogan, “Celebrate the Magic of Winter Sport”, features prominently on the new site. The first two international brochures, “A Hero’s Welcome” and “Organizing for Excellence”, are now also available online and can be read as a “book”. Other multimedia products, such as films and animation, will be added going forward. Responsible for the design and realization of the website is Arnold Fellinger, a graduate of the University of Salzburg, who has been involved with this aspect of the Salzburg 2014 bid from the very beginning.
