Salzburg 2014 is a national Bid led by the Austrian Olympic Committee. All three levels of government have made an unprecedented levels of commitment to the bid. At a summit meeting in Salzburg on 27 June 2005, Dr. Wolfgang Schüssel, the Chancellor of Austria; Gabi Burgstaller, the Govenor of the State of Salzburg; and Dr. Heinz Schaden, the Mayor of Salzburg, affixed their signatures along with that of Austrian NOC President and IOC Member Dr. Leo Wallner to the Salzburg 2014 Multi Party Agreement. This agreement publicly formalized the cooperation and support of the three
levels of government for the 2014 Olympic bid and the hosting of the Games. The agreement also sets forth and summarizes the governments commitment to all the requisite financial and operational guarantees required by the IOC.
